Studio membership
Our Studio Membership is perfect for individuals who have a solid foundation in ceramics and want a welcoming, creative space to practice and grow independently. Membership provides unsupervised studio access, making it ideal for confident ceramicists who are ready to work on their own.
To ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone, studio membership is available only to those who have completed at least an 8-week pottery course—either at our studio or elsewhere. This ensures that all members have the knowledge needed to use the studio independently.

We can fire ceramics for you at various temperatures from earthenware to stoneware. The turnover time depends on how busy the studio is at the moment (1-2 weeks is our average turnover time).

The available dropping off and picking up slots are:
Work for biscuit firing will not be fired on time if it arrives in the studio and is not fully dry.
Pieces for earthware glaze firing can have their bases glazed. Pieces for stoneglaze firing must have their bases 100% clean from glaze and 5mm must be wiped away up the sides from the base to prevent work sticking to shelves and destroying work and shelves. Glazed work cannot be fired if the glaze is applied thicker than 3mm. Double check glaze thickness by pin pricking using a needle.
Please note the firing service does not include glazing and items need to be collected and brought back once glazing has been completed. No responsibility is taken for ceramic faults where the kiln has fired correctly because these faults are due to issues in the making and drying process. To enquire about kiln firing services, please give details about the quantity of pieces to fire with their dimensions, type of clay and glaze, and their firing temperature. Include your delivery and collection dates.
For health and safety reasons we will not fire anything that would create a vast amount of smoke, i.e clay having a significant amount of organic materials inside or materials that will produce highly toxic gases during the firing. We do not do raw glazed firings. We do not fire lead-based glazes. Please make sure your work is bone dry and ready for a firing when you deliver it.
