Clay N’ Wine workshop is a unique chance to try two ways of creating ceramics: hand-building and wheel throwing while sipping a glass of wine. Don’t feel like drinking wine? That’s ok! We also offer tea and soft drinks.

This time you can learn about the Japanese technique in pottery: Neriage. Neriage is done by laminating different colored clays together and throwing them on a wheel to develop a swirling and spiraling effect. How does our workshop work? Wheel throwing: during this part, our teacher will demonstrate a simple step-by-step guide on how to approach the pottery wheel and support you in creating your first ever ceramic pot. Once made you will decorate your pot with stamps and add a handle. Hand building: when you’re not on the wheel, learn how to hand build plates. Find out how to make slabs, join clay using the score and slip technique, how to add texture, decorations and more.

At the end of the class you will have 2 finished items. Once made, your beautiful handmade clay works will stay with us for firing and clear glazing. You’ll return a few weeks later to collect.

Don’t worry if this is your first experience with clay, as you’ll receive plenty of guidance from 2 teachers and class sizes are kept to a maximum of 8 students.

Our teacher will take you through step by step, painting your masterpiece with acrylic paint and palette knife. Which means our session is perfect for any level of painting experience – whether you’re a beginner or master painter! It’s all focussed around fun, so you can expect a relaxed and friendly experience, with your favourite drinks on glas.

Come alone or with friends to our Sip ‘N’ Paint event in Haarlem, and get ready to enjoy a memorable experience painting and drinking. This class includes all materials and tools, canvas 30x40cm, 2 drinks and light snacks.

We offer two types of workshops 1,5h each and you have a choice between two options.

Prints on Pottery We can help you print child's foot on our pre made ceramics, which then are glazed and fired meaning they will last forever. From plates and mugs to boxes and vases, we can offer as much or as little help as you would like. Once you have the precious prints you can add writing and decorations yourself.

Clay Imprints You will learn how to slab build a plate or a plaques and then we can create an impression of little hands or feet into the handmade item to create this unique piece to treasure. Once you have done your babies impressions you can use the stamps or paint the babies name and date of birth. You can decorate the work with any of our selection of underglazes to complete the design!

Leave your pottery piece with us for (bisque and) glaze firing and it will be ready for collection within a few weeks.
