Art Camp

Camps focus on bringing fun, excitement and the freedom to create, using a whole host of materials and resources.

Kids will get to try new mediums, meet new friends, and have a blast while doing it! We follow themes based on various holidays and celebrations, where activities on offer coincide, but are not limited to, the holiday at that time.

ArtCamps are engaging and relaxed, naturally, we enjoy being creative, we also enjoy playing games and being active and with great indoor and outside activities, expect break times to be energetic and enjoyable, great for burning off any excess energy, before bringing the focus and calm back in to ‘Create’.

What is included:

• Art activities: painting, sewing, claying, crafting. Every day different activity.
• Healthy snacks and a simple vegetarian lunch.
• Outdoor playtime.
• Guidance of a professional art teacher.

Three mornings, one sculpture, one exhibition.

Over three days children work on a single ceramic sculpture from start to finish. Each session is three hours of focused making with a short break for lemonade and a snack. On the final day, finished work is presented in a small exhibition for parents. Maximum 8 children per camp.

Programme

• Day 1 Getting to know each other, warm-up activities, and sketching the project. Children prepare their clay — rolling slabs and beginning to build the basic form.

• Day 2 Continuing work on the main form. As the sculpture takes shape, children start adding details.

• Day 3 Final touches, textures, and painting with coloured underglazes. The day ends with a short exhibition for parents from 13:00 to 13:15.

• Included: all materials, firing, lemonade and snack.

Finished sculptures are ready for collection within 6 weeks after the camp.
