About us

I am Nina, the owner of the ArtStart studio. I am passionate about contemporary art, ceramics and sewing. I studied fine arts and after relocating to the Netherlands in 2017 I decided to start teaching kids art at a cultural center for Russian speaking kids “Klassika”. To diversify my lessons in 2021 I took some ceramics classes, so I could give a chance to my students to try the new medium. Clay was the new language in art for me, and I like to be able to speak different languages - would it be paint, chaoral, pastels or clay: it is better to strive to be a polyglot! This is how I started to sculpt, experiment and learn about the fascinating world of ceramics together with my students.

In December 2022 I had the courage to set up my own studio where I kept teaching art and besides that also ceramics! My studio is a place where you can try many things - work with paint, graphic materials, clay etc. You can learn something new and have a good time, relax and make new friends. I like having a place where I don't have to worry about getting the table messy, where there is room for experimentation.
